Extreme Endeavours in silk First Day Cover
Sir Ernest Shackleton’s amazing adventure when his ship was crushed and sank in Antarctica and his escape with his whole crew is celebrated by the Royal Mail with this stamp issue in 2003. The cover has a silk cameo image of the Endurance leaving Millwall Docks in 1908. Individually numbered, limited edition of 5,000.
