2500 Year Old Greek Oil Lamp
6th Century Oil Lamp
It is not that often that Greek Lamps come on the market. These 6th Century B.C. buff terracotta examples originated from the Ancient lands of Corinth & Athens. They are very rare early archaic discus type lamps with a hollow centre which allowed for more efficient burning. On most lamps there is slight slip decoration still remaining. An excellent antiquity item for your collection. They measure about 8.5 cm in diameter.
