Henry VII (Facing Bust) Groat
This was the last time a representational facing image of a Monarch was used. A new image was to be issued by British engravers for a new profile portrait of the King for his Groats and Halfgroats and thereafter signified a change in attitude leading to more attractive coinage. This was the first time since the Normans struck their silver pennies that such a significant change had been made.
