In 2017 Pobjoy Mint struck a green titanium coin in celebration of the majestic Green Turtle, who can be found nesting on the beaches of the Chagos Islands which is part of the British Indian Ocean Territory.
As a juvenile they are carnivorous but as adults they are often strict herbivores, their feeding trips usually last five minutes but they can hold their breathe for up to five hours!!
As usual with all titanium coins, each coin varies slightly due to the hardness of the metal. 38 mm in diameter, weighs 10 grams, capsulated, cased and certificated.
