British Modern Proof Sets from the Royal Mint
After decimalization in 1971 the Royal Mint decided to issue, on a regular basis, proof sets in hard cases for each year. All the sets are sealed but many coins show slight signs of tarnishing, but this is typical for the sets. Some of the coins were only struck for these sets and not available for circulation.
