The Festival of Britain in May 1951 was a national exhibition open in London. A century after the 'Great Exhibition in 1851. The main site was on the South Bank which is today near the River Thames and Waterloo Station. The Exhibition was just one year before Briton saw Queen Elizabeth II take to the throne. 1951 British Proof Crown for the Festival of Britain.
