Silver Shilling of George III 1816-1820
"Over two centuries ago, the British nation faced significant debt, causing financial turmoil. It wasn't until 30 years later, in 1816, that the government minted a new series of silver coins, following a 1787 issue. The absence of copper coins only added chaos to the financial situation. This collection of shillings boasts the bull head of King George III and the coat of arms on the reverse, representing a time when the country was recovering from the loss of the American colonies. These coins are available in good very fine or extremely fine condition."
